We love our pets and we know you will too. This is why unlike any other dog breeder we will reimburse you (up to the purchase price of the puppy) for select hereditary diseases (the most common ones). This is a REAL guarantee, not an empty promise for a new puppy!
This contract is not transferable.
Seller does not guarantee against ANY health condition not stated in this contract.
Seller warrants that the puppy is in good health visually at the time the puppy leaves the seller’s property.
The buyer may return this puppy to the seller in the same condition in which it left within 72 hours for a full refund if a serious pre-existing medical condition has been diagnosed by a veterinarian. This does not include parasites.
All paperwork that was sent with the puppy must be returned including a written statement by a licensed veterinarian. Seller recommends for the buyer to have a wellness exam on this puppy within 72 hours of possession.
The buyer understands that this puppy is sold as a pet only and will not be used for breeding (unless sold with full registration). All puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration (No breeding rights) unless agreed on prior to the purchase of the puppy.
This contract is null and void if the puppy is found to have sired or whelped a litter. All expenses including veterinary expenses for this puppy are the buyer’s responsibility once the puppy leaves the seller’s property. No expenses will be reimbursed for any reason other than stated in this contract.
The buyer agrees to keep the puppy in good condition and to provide yearly examinations, on-time vaccinations, deworming, and any other usual procedures necessary to assure the good health of the puppy. The buyer agrees to provide a suitable area for this puppy and to have adequate food, shelter, and a secure area. If at any time the buyer decides to relinquish ownership of this puppy or is unable to keep this puppy for any reason, the buyer will find a suitable home for this puppy.
The buyer will not surrender this puppy to an animal shelter. The buyer will return this puppy to the seller if a suitable home cannot be found. No part of the purchase price will be refunded if the puppy is returned. Seller does not assume any responsibility for the shipping costs if the puppy is required to be shipped back into the seller’s possession.
Guarantee:
We guarantee your puppy will be non-affected by EIC,CNM, and PRA. The seller must be notified by 24 months of age if your puppy is affected by any of the above stated diseases. We guarantee your puppy against a heart murmur up until 24 months of age. We guarantee your puppy against hip and elbow dysplasia up until 24 months of age.
If the above mentioned puppy is diagnosed with any of the guaranteed against illnesses through genetic causes alone the buyer will have 2 options:
Option 1 – Seller will reimburse the cost of treatment (up to the purchase price of the puppy).
Option 2 – Buyer may return the puppy and receive a puppy from a new litter.
The buyer is entitled to choose which option they prefer.
It is understood that hip and elbow dysplasia can be caused by poor nutrition or injury and that the puppy is guaranteed to the extent of genetic hip and elbow dysplasia only. This guarantee is for a replacement puppy of similar quality as soon as one comes available or reimbursement of medical costs up to the cost of the puppy. The new puppy will be shipped at the buyer’s expense. The following terms must be met to receive reimbursement or for the puppy to be replaced:
1. Buyer notifies the seller promptly after such condition is diagnosed. If the puppy is deemed to have a heart murmur, hip or elbow dysplasia, or be affected by EIC, CNM, or PRA the seller must be contacted prior to the puppy reaching the age of 30 months.
2. A copy of the OFA rating must be sent to the seller (for elbows and hips only) or copies of veterinary records from a cardiology specialist (for heart murmur only). Test results for EIC, CNM, or PRA must be sent to seller if affected.
3. Medical treatment for the diagnosed disease must be performed by a licensed vet.
4. A receipt for treatment must be sent to the seller (for reimbursement).
5. The puppy must not have been bred or sired a litter otherwise this guarantee is deemed null and void. By signing this contract, the buyer acknowledges and understands the contents and has entered into this legally binding contract freely.
